Hyènes
An example of montage can be seen
in the film Hyènes by the Senegalese director Jibril Diop Mambety
who uses shots of hyenas to illustrate the greed of the people of Colobane who
are trading their humanity and dignity for money. Here they are stopping the
main protagonist from leaving because they have sold him. Notice the juxtapositon
of the train station and the people with shots of hyenas.
vendu.
